Fatal Motorcycle and SUV Collision in Royal Palm Beach

A tragic accident occurred in Royal Palm Beach on the evening of May 30, when a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV resulted in the death of the motorcyclist. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident.

Details of the Collision

The accident took place at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 7 and Victoria Groves Boulevard. Albert Humphrey, a 39-year-old resident of Royal Palm Beach, was riding a Suzuki motorcycle southbound on State Road 7. As he approached Victoria Groves Boulevard, a 56-year-old woman from Wellington driving a sports utility vehicle was turning from northbound to southbound on the same road.

The collision occurred when Humphrey’s motorcycle collided with the rear of the SUV. The impact was severe enough to eject Humphrey from his motorcycle, which was split into multiple pieces. According to the Sheriff’s Office report, Humphrey traveled over 200 feet after the collision before coming to a stop.

Aftermath and Investigation

Emergency services transported Humphrey to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries at 10:10 p.m. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the cause and any potential contributing factors.
