Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. List Brentwood Home for $10.5 Million

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr., a well-known celebrity couple, have decided to sell their family home in Brentwood, Los Angeles. The property is listed for $10.5 million with Cindy Ambuehl of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California.

The home, originally built in 2006, offers 7,318 square feet of living space. It includes five bedrooms and six bathrooms, providing ample room for a family. The house also features a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast nook, a dining room, and a living room that seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Additional amenities include a dedicated office space and a bonus room, which the couple has used as a playroom for their two children. The outdoor area is equally impressive, boasting picturesque landscaping, a resort-style swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen, and multiple lounge areas for relaxation and entertainment.

Family and Career

Gellar and Prinze Jr. first met while filming the 1997 movie “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and began dating in 2000. They announced their engagement in April 2001 and married in 2002. The couple celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary in September 2025.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Gellar shared insights into her successful marriage, humorously attributing it to having “one bedroom, two bathrooms.” She emphasized the importance of having personal space within a shared home.

Gellar also discussed her decision to take a nearly decade-long break from acting to focus on her family. She explained that after the birth of her second child and the passing of her co-star Robin Williams, she felt a shift in her priorities and wanted to spend more time with her children.

Return to Acting

After stepping away from major TV and film projects following her role in “The Crazy Ones” in 2014, Gellar made a return to acting with the 2022 Netflix movie “Do Revenge.” She continued to take on roles in “Wolf Pack,” “Dexter: Original Sin,” and “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.”

Fans were excited about the announcement of a “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” reboot titled “Buffy: New Sunnydale,” which was set to feature Gellar reprising her iconic role. However, in March 2026, she revealed that Hulu had shelved the project due to creative differences with an executive who was not a fan of the original series.
