Oregon’s Offensive Surge
Oregon’s freshmen players were pivotal in the victory, with Angel Laya, Brayden Jaska, and Naulivou Lauaki Jr. combining for seven hits and driving in seven runs. Laya led the charge with four hits, scoring twice and driving in two runs. Jaska contributed three hits, two runs, and two RBIs, while Lauaki Jr. hit the Ducks’ only home run of the night.
On the mound, Cal Scolari started strong for the Ducks, pitching 4 1/3 shutout innings despite throwing 102 pitches and walking five batters.
