Walk to End Alzheimer’s – St. Petersburg
On Saturday, Oct. 3, the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s will start at 8 a.m. in Poynter Park, 1000 3rd Street S., St. Petersburg. Volunteers are needed for registration, set‑up, clean‑up, booth staffing, cheering participants, and capturing photos or video. All volunteers receive a commemorative T‑shirt, and you can also join the planning committee for future walks.
Sunset Yoga for Heels to Heal – St. Petersburg Pier
Join The Body Electric Yoga for a sunset class on Wed., Oct. 7, 7‑8 p.m. at the St. Petersburg Pier, 800 2nd Ave NE. Donations support Heels to Heal’s Crisis Counseling Program, which assists survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence in building coping skills, confidence, and healthier futures.
Invasive Plant Removal – Two County Parks
Pinellas County Parks & Conservation Resources invites volunteers on Sat., Oct. 10, 8‑10 a.m. to remove invasive species at War Veterans’ Memorial Park (9600 Bay Pines Blvd., St. Petersburg) and John Chesnut Park (2200 East Lake Rd., Palm Harbor). Participants will learn sustainable land‑management techniques while helping native plants and pollinators thrive. Closed‑toed shoes are required; gloves and bags are provided.
Hearts for the Arts Back to Broadway Gala – Largo
The Central Park Performing Arts Foundation will host its 30th‑anniversary gala on Sat., Oct. 24, 6‑10 p.m. at the Central Park Performing Arts Center, 105 Central Park Dr., Largo. Proceeds fund youth arts programs, scholarships, and theater education throughout Tampa Bay. The evening features Broadway actress Rachel Potter, cocktails, dinner, live and silent auctions, and dancing. General‑admission tickets sell out Oct. 1.
Clearwater Free Clinic – Medical & Office Volunteers
For nearly five decades, the Clearwater Free Clinic has provided health services to mid‑ and north‑Pinellas residents. The clinic seeks licensed medical specialists (e.g., chiropractors, optometrists, pulmonologists) and front‑office, food‑clinic, and stocking volunteers. Shifts run Mon.–Thu. 8:30 a.m.–noon and 1:30‑5:30 p.m., and Tue. 7:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Volunteers should commit to at least six months. The clinic is located at 1218 Court St., Clearwater.
