McKinney, TX – A new coffee destination is set to join the city’s growing culinary scene. Arwa Yemeni Coffee, a family‑style venture run by six longtime friends, announced plans to open its first west‑side location in early October.

The upcoming café will showcase a range of authentic Yemeni beverages, including Sanaani coffee, Qishr, Mofawer, Jubani and Adeni tea. The business will be owned by Oshin Ahmed, Sufi Al Ahmed, Sushmita Biswas, Alvi Sakib, Aniqa Jannath and Ahnaf Hassan. The group has been regular patrons of the existing Richardson location of Arwa Yemeni Coffee for years and decided to expand to serve the western McKinney neighborhood, which has seen a surge in new residential and commercial development.
“We’ve always loved the sense of community that Arwa creates, and we wanted to bring that same feeling to McKinney,” Ahmed said in an email. “Our goal is to offer a welcoming space where families, students and professionals can gather, enjoy high‑quality coffee, and learn a little about Yemeni culture.”

The new café will be situated near the city’s western border, a convenient spot for commuters traveling along the Dallas‑McKinney corridor and for residents of nearby neighborhoods such as West McKinney, Stonebridge and the emerging West McKinney Village.
