Smart‑ring maker Oura seeks $15.6 billion valuation in U.S. IPO

Oura, the Finnish company best known for its health‑focused smart ring, filed paperwork this week to launch a U.S. initial public offering. The filing shows the company is aiming for a fully diluted valuation of $15.62 billion.

Offering details

According to the regulatory filing, Oura and several of its current investors plan to raise as much as $2.2 billion. The capital would be raised by selling 50 million shares at the top of the indicated price range, $40 to $44 per share. The company said Eli Lilly has expressed interest in buying up to $100 million of the shares, while investment firm Dragoneer indicated it may purchase up to $300 million.

Company background and performance

Founded in 2013, Oura has helped popularize wearable smart rings that monitor heart rate, sleep stages, and physical activity. The device is marketed toward consumers seeking personalized health and fitness insights, fitting into a broader trend of wellness, weight‑management, and preventive‑health interest.

For the nine months ended June 30, Oura reported revenue of $1.21 billion, a year‑over‑year increase of roughly 74 percent. In October 2025, the company was valued at about $11 billion after raising more than $900 million in a late‑stage funding round led by Fidelity Management.

Market context

The offering arrives as the fall IPO window gains momentum after a subdued start to the year. Market participants have been cautious amid uncertainty surrounding AI‑related trade policy, rising bond yields, and recent Federal Reserve rate hikes. Oura’s filing will test investor appetite for high‑growth consumer‑technology companies in this environment.

Underwriters and listing

Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and J.P. Morgan have been named lead underwriters for the transaction. Upon completion, Oura will list on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “OURA.”

Implications for the tech sector

If successful, the IPO could signal renewed confidence in consumer‑technology startups and provide a benchmark for other wearable‑device firms considering public listings. The capital raised would also give Oura resources to expand its product line, invest in research and development, and pursue international growth.

Analysts note that the company’s strong revenue growth and expanding user base position it well for a public market debut, though they caution that broader market volatility could affect pricing and demand.
