Local producer brings Broadway hit to the city
Producer Lowe Cunningham, a Towson University alumna and senior vice president of Creative & Strategy at Universal Theatrical Group, is overseeing the Baltimore engagement as part of the U.S. National Tour. “It has been such a joy bringing Death Becomes Her to life on stage and I’m beyond thrilled to be embraced as we have by Broadway audiences,” Cunningham said.
Cast and creative team
The touring company features Jackie Burns as Madeline Ashton, Kristen Beth Williams as Helen Sharp, and Ken Marino as Ernest Menville, with Nasia Thomas playing the mysterious Viola Van Horn. Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli directs and choreographs, the book is by Marco Pennette, and the score is by Julia Mattison and Noel Carey.
