Denton has a bright new reason to celebrate: Texas Woman’s University (TWU) and Bezos Academy have officially marked the opening of the largest Bezos Academy Preschool in the state of Texas, right here in the community.

The milestone was celebrated by both institutions, bringing together TWU and Bezos Academy — the nonprofit preschool network founded by Jeff Bezos — to mark a landmark moment for early childhood education in North Texas. The new preschool, located on or near the TWU campus in Denton, stands as the biggest Bezos Academy site in the entire state, underscoring the city’s growing role as a hub for educational innovation and opportunity.

Bezos Academy preschools are tuition-free and serve families who might not otherwise have access to high-quality early learning programs.
