Texarkana 67 Speedway hosts action‑packed Series Night Eight with 63 racers

Texarkana, Ark. – On Friday night the 67 Speedway came alive as it hosted the eighth series night of the season, drawing a full field of 63 cars. The event marked the track’s first night of racing in more than a month and delivered a showcase of local talent from both sides of the state line.

Class‑by‑class results

Tuner 4‑cyl: Ten cars took the green flag. Texarkana native Justin Converse (No. C49) claimed the top spot, followed by fellow Texarkana driver Michael Hardage (No. C4). Arkansas’ Cody Laughlin (No. 2C) rounded out the podium.

Limited Modified: Eleven competitors battled for position. Louisiana’s Coty Tupper (No. 23, Blanchard) dominated, starting on pole and holding first place to the finish. Sportsters: The largest field of the night featured 21 cars. Hunter Allen (No. 25A, Shreveport) climbed from fourth to claim victory. Bailey Turner (No. 2X, Hooks, Texas) advanced from eighth to finish second, and Dillon Knighten (No. 96, Keithville) impressed by moving from twenty‑first on the grid to a third‑place finish.

Factory Stock: Fifteen drivers competed. Texarkana, Texas’ Colby Mewborn (No. 36) took the win, with fellow Texarkana racer Justin Whitehead (No. 36J) finishing second. Gary Harvin (No. 25, Fouke, Arkansas) secured third place.

Community impact

The race night underscored the Speedway’s role as a gathering place for families and fans across the ArkLaTex region. Spectators enjoyed a family‑friendly atmosphere, cheering on local drivers and supporting the venue’s ongoing efforts to provide affordable, high‑quality motorsport entertainment.

Track officials highlighted the importance of these events for the local economy, noting that race nights draw visitors who patronize nearby restaurants, hotels, and shops. The influx of fans from both Texas and Arkansas helps sustain small businesses and reinforces the Speedway’s position as a regional hub for racing enthusiasts.

Looking ahead

Organizers announced that the next series night is scheduled for early October, promising another full field and the continued opportunity for drivers to showcase their skills. Fans are encouraged to follow the Speedway’s social media channels for updates on upcoming events, ticket information, and driver spotlights.

With the successful return of racing at 67 Speedway, the community can look forward to a robust schedule of competition that celebrates local talent, family values, and the spirit of friendly competition that defines the ArkLaTex motorsport tradition.
