Central Oregon Community College (COCC) is set to host a diverse array of youth camps this summer, providing enriching experiences for children aged 10 to 15. From June 15 to August 27, 2026, these camps will take place across the college’s campuses in Bend, Redmond, Madras, and Prineville.
Wide Range of Activities
The community education program at COCC has curated over 70 different camps, each designed to inspire and engage young participants through hands-on, multi-day activities. Sarah Wolcott, the program manager, emphasized the variety of opportunities available, noting the inclusion of new and exciting camps this year.
Among the offerings is a partnership with the wildlife rehabilitation center, Think Wild, which will provide campers with tours of local ecosystems. Other options include game design, photography, cyber sleuthing, and theater. Culinary enthusiasts can choose from 32 camps with themes such as “bread bonanza” and “camping cuisine.” Additionally, a mapmaking camp will guide participants in creating a framed illustrated map using watercolor and sketching tools.
Accessible and Affordable
These camps are designed to be accessible, with costs starting at $59. Limited scholarships are also available to ensure broader participation. Each camp is led by passionate instructors committed to providing a meaningful and educational experience for all attendees.
For more information or to register for the camps, interested individuals can visit the COCC website at cocc.edu/youth or call 541-383-7270.
