Prior to his work in Forest Hill, Gutierrez dedicated over 22 years to the City of Mansfield Fire Department, where he served in various capacities, including Firefighter, Lieutenant, and EMS Coordinator. Gutierrez is well-versed in fire codes, fire protection systems, and emergency planning. He regularly works with the International Fire Code (IFC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, and local ordinances to ensure compliance and safety. Additionally, as a licensed Peace Officer in Texas, he enhances his skills in investigations and public safety coordination.
In terms of education, Gutierrez holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Fire Service Administration and Fire Protection Technology. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Fire and Emergency Services Administration from Texas A&M University–San Antonio.
