Oklahoma GOP gubernatorial runoff candidates report fundraising totals

Oklahoma voters will head to the polls next week to choose between two Republican candidates in the gubernatorial runoff. Both campaigns have recently released fundraising figures that illustrate the financial landscape of the race.

Mike Mazzei’s campaign finances

Mike Mazzei, who has secured endorsements from former President Donald Trump and Governor Kevin Stitt, says his campaign has raised just under $1 million since June 2, the day before the primary election. The amount reflects contributions from individual donors as well as political action committees (PACs) that have publicly supported his candidacy.

Among the PACs listed in Mazzei’s filings are the Arvest Oklahoma PAC, associated with the state‑based bank, and the Sooner State PAC, which, according to its most recent quarterly report to the Oklahoma Ethics Commission, received donations solely from State Farm agents.

Gentner Drummond’s campaign finances

Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s campaign, according to the Oklahoma Secretary of State’s office, has raised just under $3 million since early June. The larger war chest includes contributions from a variety of interest groups and professional associations.

Key PAC supporters include the Fraternal Orders of Police chapters in Tulsa, Oklahoma City and statewide, as well as health‑care‑related PACs, a PAC representing retired teachers, a PAC for agriculture teachers, and a PAC for retired firefighters in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

What the numbers mean for voters

Both candidates have framed their fundraising as evidence of broad support for their respective visions for Oklahoma. Mazzei’s messaging emphasizes cost‑cutting measures for families, while Drummond highlights his record as attorney general and his backing from public‑safety and health‑care constituencies.

For voters, the disclosed totals provide a snapshot of each campaign’s ability to fund advertising, outreach and ground‑game operations in the final stretch before the runoff. The Oklahoma Election Board will certify the final vote totals after the election.

Looking ahead

The runoff election is scheduled for next week, and both campaigns are expected to intensify their outreach efforts. Voters are encouraged to review each candidate’s platform, consider the sources of campaign support, and cast their ballots at their designated polling locations.
