A boy’s birthday party in Norman was almost ruined when none of his friends showed up, but thanks to the kindness of Cleveland County deputies and Norman police, the party went on. The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office said that they were contacted by the business where the party was being held and were told that none of the boy’s school friends had shown up.
Three deputies responded to the call, bringing goodies to help make the boy’s special day a little brighter. Later, two officers from the Norman Police Department also joined in to show their support. The officers hoped that their presence would remind the boy that he was valued and cared about.
As the officers spent time with the boy, they showed him that sometimes, presence is the best present. The boy’s birthday party turned out to be a special day, thanks to the kindness of the law enforcement officers.
