Central Florida’s early voting numbers are in, with a 10% turnout so far. In Orange County, vote-by-mail has set the pace, with 47,643 mail ballots returned as of Friday morning. Early voting before noon Friday was 34,740, meaning more than 82,000 people had voted.
Early Voting Locations and Hours
The three busiest early voting locations in Orange County are the Alafaya Branch Library, the Apopka Community Center, and the Hiawassee Branch Library. Voters can find locations and hours listed with their local supervisor of elections. Early voting ends on Sunday in Orange and Osceola counties, but on Saturday in all other local counties.
Connie Lindsay, a voter, told WESH 2 that she likes to get her ballot in early to avoid standing in line on election day. Andi Parks, a college student, voted early for the flexibility it provides. Cherish Adams, a candidate for county Judge Group 17, reminded voters that there’s something for everyone on the ballot, regardless of party affiliation.
