Wylie Lady Pirates Start Season 2 0

The Wylie Lady Pirates volleyball team started their season on a high note, winning their first two games against Waxahachie and McKinney Boyd. The team, led by head coach Sherry Olivares, is looking to build on last year’s successful campaign, which included a 30-win season and an undefeated district championship.

Season Opener

In their season opener against Waxahachie, the Lady Pirates came from behind to win in five sets. They then went on to sweep McKinney Boyd in three sets, with scores of 25-14, 25-23, and 25-20. Keelyn Green, Julia Hudgins, and Aubrey Degrate were among the standout players for Wylie.

The Lady Pirates will continue their pre-district schedule with a tournament in Grapevine and several non-district games before starting their 9-6A season on September 4 against Rowlett.
