Former Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook announced his retirement from the NBA after 18 seasons. Westbrook made the announcement on social media, posting a video with a reflective caption.

Westbrook’s Legacy

Westbrook played 18 seasons in the NBA, including the first 11 with the Thunder. He helped lead Oklahoma City to its first Western Conference title and was the 2017 Most Valuable Player after averaging a triple-double per game. On top of his success in Oklahoma City, Westbrook was a nine-time All-Star, a nine-time All-NBA member, and a USA Olympic gold medalist. He also holds the all-time record for triple-doubles.
