Students across Florida must submit their Florida Financial Aid Application by August 31 to remain eligible for the Bright Futures Scholarship Program, the Florida Lottery announced ahead of the upcoming school year.
Program Details
The state-funded program, which receives its funding through the Florida Lottery, provides financial support to Florida students pursuing higher education or career training at in-state public and private colleges, universities, and vocational programs.
Award amounts depend on academic achievements, standardized test scores, and documented community service or work hours. Over the past three decades, the program has distributed over $51 billion in educational funding and supported more than one million students statewide.
Florida Commissioner of Education Henry Mack encouraged every eligible student to complete their Florida Financial Aid Application by August 31, stating, “Education has the power to change lives and build a stronger future for Florida and the nation.”
Students and parents can review complete program requirements, check eligibility status, and submit the application online at brightfuturesroadmap.com or floridabrightfutures.gov before the August 31 cutoff.
