New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart said his actions after a training camp workout were just a result of his competitive spirit. Dart threw a football off the facemask of cornerback Greg Newsome II after a play, which led to a 15-yard penalty for taunting.
Competitiveness in Football
Dart explained that the incident was a result of the competitive nature of the sport. ‘G-New’s my brother. I mean, brothers compete, brothers get into it, and that’s just part of the competitiveness that we have out here,’ Dart told reporters. Newsome also downplayed the incident, saying he was mad at first but later laughed about it with Dart.
