U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrests of several non-citizens convicted of violent and severe offenses across the United States over the weekend.
Arrests Made Nationwide
According to agency statements, the targeted individuals had previous criminal convictions ranging from murder and vehicular manslaughter to kidnapping, drug trafficking, and offenses involving minors.
Among those taken into custody was Warren Davis, a Jamaican national previously convicted of murder, burglary, and robbery with a deadly weapon in White Plains, New York. In California, agents arrested Adolfo Rosales-Diaz, a Mexican national convicted of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence in Salinas, as well as Angel Romero-Cazares, who was convicted in Auburn for attempted murder, three counts of child cruelty, and personal use of a deadly weapon.
Additional arrests included Juan Eduardo Berganza, a Guatemalan national convicted of attempted murder and driving under the influence in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and Jose Martinez-Ortiz, a Honduran national convicted of first-degree kidnapping in Orange County, North Carolina.
In Rhode Island, officers arrested Leonardo Castro, a Dominican national with prior convictions including enticement of a minor for indecent purposes, domestic violence, first-degree burglary resulting in bodily injury, and weapon possession.
Other individuals detained during the operation included Walter Perez-Perello in Las Vegas, Nevada, who was convicted of fentanyl possession with intent to sell and domestic battery, and Yovon Delgadillo-Guerrero in Collin, Texas, convicted of injury to a child, elderly, or disabled person.
Arrests were also reported in Florida, Iowa, and New York City for offenses involving armed robbery, burglary, gang participation, and the distribution of narcotics such as cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine.
Federal officials directed the public to the Department of Homeland Security website for further details regarding ongoing enforcement actions.
