St. Pete’s freeFall Theatre is closing out its summer show, Bash of the Titans, after 34 performances. The show, which was co-written by artistic director Eric Davis, has had steady attendance since its premiere on June 12.
Experimenting with Longer Runs
Davis experimented with a longer run for Bash of the Titans to see if it would lead to more word-of-mouth and ticket sales. Although the show has been successful, the theatre’s upcoming season will feature shorter runs for its shows.
Davis is constantly looking for ways to innovate and improve the theatre’s programming. He believes that audiences are looking for experiences that can compete with passive media, and that interactive elements can help to draw people in.
Upcoming Season
The theatre’s 2026-27 season will include shows such as What a Glorious Feeling!, The Da Vinci Code, and A Christmas Carol: In Concert. Davis is also planning a surprise show, The Nancy Drew Files, which will be an alternate reality game that takes place around the city.
