Relativity Space, a company developing reusable rockets, is expanding to the Space Coast, bringing thousands of high-skill, high-wage jobs through 2034. The move will bring launch and testing infrastructure to Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
Supporting Mars Science
Back in June, NASA announced a partnership with Relativity Space to advance Mars science. Relativity Space will supply the spacecraft, rocket, and cruise operations for a mission that will send NASA payloads to Mars to study the planet’s atmosphere.
Titusville Mayor Andrew Connors expressed his excitement about the development, stating that it will bring a catalyst for manufacturing and create a downstream business effect. The company is targeting the end of this year to debut its Terran R rocket.
