The Anthony Independent School District is hosting its annual health fair, providing an opportunity for students to prepare for the upcoming school year. The event is open to the entire community, with the goal of ensuring everyone returns to school healthy and equipped to learn.
Free Health Resources and Vaccines
By partnering with El Paso health, Immunize El Paso, and Aliviane mental health services, the district is able to offer free health resources and vaccines for students who are missing required vaccines. Parents and legal guardians must bring the student and an insurance card to the event. For those who are uninsured, the cost will be $10 per vaccine.
The health fair will also feature educational resources for physical, mental, and dental health services. According to Melissa Leos, Anthony ISD parent liaison, ‘It’s so important to start off with a healthy start, prepare our students to have all those resources for them, coming in if they’re needing their vaccines.’ Registered Anthony ISD students can pick up free backpacks and school supplies while they last.
