Maine Democrats are set to debate on July 23, as they seek to replace former nominee Graham Platner, whose campaign ended after he was accused of rape, an allegation he denies.

The two-hour debate, hosted by CNN and the Bangor Daily News, will take place at 8 p.m. ET and feature questions from CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, as well as Bangor Daily News Political Editor Michael Shepherd.
A live audience, including some of the 601 delegates who will vote on a new nominee, will be in attendance. The delegates will gather in Bangor two days after the debate to choose a new candidate.
Candidates have until the end of Monday to submit 500 signatures to qualify for the convention ballot, including 50 signatures from at least eight separate counties.
