The Johnson County School District #1 Board of Trustees approved a $42 million budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year at their regular meeting on July 15.
Budget Breakdown
The budget includes $30 million in the General Fund, $2 million in the Special Revenue Fund, $3 million in Major Maintenance, $250,000 for BOCHES, $5 million in Capital Projects, $500,000 in Special Purpose Depreciation, $900,000 for Nutrition Services, $75,000 for Teacherage, $100,000 in Internal Service, and $500,000 for Student Activities.
The board also considered mill levies for the County Recreation District and Johnson County BOCHES, totaling nearly $757,000.
