Important reminders from the Sheriff’s Office:
- We will never demand payment over the phone.
- Deputies do not instruct anyone to pay fines or fees using cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, gift cards, or wire transfers.
- Legitimate agencies do not threaten immediate arrest over the phone.
- Scammers can spoof official phone numbers.

- Hang up right away.
- Do not share personal or financial information.
- Do not send cryptocurrency or any payments.
