A recent online trend has people questioning the existence of Disneyland Oklahoma. However, the answer is simple: it never existed. A fake Wikipedia post and a viral social media screenshot sparked the curiosity, but they were later debunked as false.
The Origins of the Rumor
The rumor originated from a fake Wikipedia post for Disneyland (Oklahoma), which claimed the park was founded in 1987 by Zachariah Richard. The post also stated that the park got its name due to a misspelled patent for the real Disneyland. According to the post, Richard won a legal battle to keep the park open for 35 years before it was destroyed when the International Space Station fell on it in 2022. However, none of this is true.
The theme park blog Inside the Magic investigated the claim and found that the screenshot was from a fake post that has since been deleted. Oklahomans and Disney fans know that there is no Disneyland in Oklahoma.
