Three teens have been arrested in connection to an acid attack on six women in Jersey City last month, according to the Jersey City Department of Public Safety.
The women were splashed with sulfuric acid on June 15 when people on a moped targeted them in their car as they drove by, officials said. All six victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries that included skin burns and peeling.
One of the victims, a 21-year-old woman, was taken to a burn unit last month to be treated for second-degree burns to her face and scalp.
The investigation is ongoing, officials said.
