Public Safety Power Shutoff warnings have been issued for Goleta, California, due to expected high and dry vegetation in the area. Southern California Edison’s Spokesperson and Senior Manager of Corporate Communications, David Eisenhauer, stated that the company understands the hardship these outages may cause but must be done to keep communities safe.

One of the areas impacted is near Glen Annie and Sespe Lane in Goleta. Many neighbors, including ranchers, have experience with these outages and have generators in case of an emergency.

In San Luis Obispo, Pacific Gas & Electric has alerted customers in Lake Nacimiento and Heritage Ranch that a Public Safety Power Shutoff could last from noon on July 15 to 9 p.m. on July 16. Residents can sign up for alerts by visiting the Ready SLO website.
