The Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball team is almost in position to lock down the #1 seed out of the North for the upcoming state tournament. Earlier this month, the team went 3-2 vs. various out of state opponents in Cheyenne and the 2 losses were not due to a lack of effort.
The competition level was solid. Just had a couple games get away from us that we uncharacteristically gave away quite a few free bags, whether that was a couple errors and then just quite a few walks and hit by pitches in those games. So just trying to learn from that. At this time of year, it’s not necessarily a bad thing to take a couple Ls just to get yourself re-locked in and understand like, hey, it can happen to anybody and you got to show up every day ready to go. But overall on the weekend, we did a lot of things well.
