Lowder Baking Company in Shreveport is bringing winter flavors to the summer heat with a special seasonal preview. The bakery is hosting a Christmas in July event to showcase upcoming holiday treats and public baking classes.

Owner Sarah Lowder said the event allows the community to get an early taste of winter traditions. The preview highlights several seasonal items, including Holiday Iced Krewe Cookies, Ginger Molasses Cookies, and Peppermint Brownie Bites. The bakery also continues to offer its daily selection of pastries, cinnamon rolls, and fresh breads.

In addition to the seasonal menu, Lowder is previewing a lineup of upcoming baking classes designed for community members who want to learn professional techniques.

Lowder Baking Company is located at 4019 Fern Ave., Suite 500, in Shreveport. The bakery operates from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The shop is closed on Mondays.
