Iranian Missiles Hit UAE Tankers

The UAE Ministry of Defence reported that two national tankers were targeted by Iranian cruise missiles in the southern lane of the Strait of Hormuz in Omani territorial waters. The attack resulted in the death of one Indian crew member and injured eight others, including four seriously. Fires broke out on both tankers but were brought under control.

The UAE Ministry of Defence condemned the attack as a serious breach of international law and stated that the UAE retains its full right to respond and take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and security.
