Family Seeks Answers

Nolan Xavier Wells, an 18-year-old from Mississippi, was found dead off the Mississippi coast after a boat trip with friends to celebrate the Fourth of July. His family is seeking answers and transparency in the investigation into his death.

Investigation and Controversy

Wells’ body was found early Monday along the shore of Horn Island, about 7 miles off the Mississippi coast. The island is uninhabited and accessible only by boat. Wells’ family has commissioned an independent autopsy and plans to employ experts to recover deleted messages from his cellphone.

Wells’ friends, who were with him on the boat trip, claim that he told them to leave the island without him. However, Wells’ family and their lawyer, Ben Crump, are skeptical of this claim, citing inconsistencies in the story and the fact that Wells did not have his cellphone or keys with him.

Family’s Concerns

Wells’ family is concerned that the investigation is not being conducted fairly and that the authorities are not taking their concerns seriously. They have called for a thorough and transparent investigation into Wells’ death.

Wells’ mother, Christine Wonsley, said, ‘We just want to know what happened and why our baby didn’t come home.’ Wells’ father, Elmore Wonsley, added that they want to know the truth about their son’s death and that they will not rest until they get it.

Wells was a peacemaker who didn’t like division and wanted everyone to be included. His family and friends remember him as a kind and gentle soul who loved everyone.
