Families gathered at the Des Moines Biergarten in Water Works Park to celebrate Christmas in July, a holiday-themed fundraiser supporting a local literacy nonprofit.
The event benefited Everybody Wins Iowa, an organization focused on children’s literacy. Attendees faced summer heat while taking part in activities including visits with Santa, a gingerbread-themed bounce house, and live music.
