A 17-year-old male drowned at Jackson Lake in Millbrook, Alabama, after stepping off a drop-off in the water and never resurfacing. The Millbrook Fire Department deployed a dive team to locate the victim’s body, which was pronounced deceased at the scene. Witnesses stated that the victim did not know how to swim.
The incident occurred on Saturday around 11:14 a.m. when several people were swimming in the area. Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson reported that officers and firefighters responded to a possible drowning. Police do not suspect foul play at this time.
