Dallas ISD families will have two opportunities in August to prepare for the new school year through events offering student registration, free school supplies, and a variety of support services.

Back to School Events

The 30th Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, August 7, at Fair Park. The annual event serves more than 10,000 families each year by providing free school supplies and other services to students. Attendees will also have access to health screenings, dental exams, and free haircuts.

Dallas ISD will host its Back to School Kickoff from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 1, at Ellis Davis Field House. The event will provide on-site enrollment assistance for students entering prekindergarten through 12th grade for the upcoming school year. Students who register during the event will receive free school supplies, district-approved backpacks, and additional services while supplies last.
