Arizona linebacker Everett Roussaw Jr. (16) brings down defensive lineman Prince Williams (44) during spring practice on Tomey Field in Tucson on April 14, 2026.
The Wildcats wrapped up the fourth week of spring work with their twelfth practice Saturday at the Davis Sports Center and Dick Tomey Practice Fields. With two more on the calendar before the spring showcase at Casino Del Sol Stadium, coaches used the session to polish fundamentals and evaluate depth across multiple position groups.
Linebackers were a clear bright spot. Freshman Dash Fifita and transfer Everett Roussaw each recorded tackles for loss during a mid-practice team period, while redshirt senior Chase Kennedy registered a sack in that same segment. Senior linebackers Chase Kennedy and Taye Brown continue to be central figures as leaders within the defensive unit.
On offense, receivers and skill players got some key reps. Freshman wideout RJ Mosley — a 6-foot-3, 199-pound four-star recruit from Pittsburg, California who has been limited this spring — was able to work through drills. Running back Kedrick Reescano, also managing limited reps, participated in individual work. Redshirt junior Tre Spivey hauled in a corner-route touchdown from quarterback Noah Fifita, and redshirt freshman Luke Haugo connected on a 55-yard scoring pass to USC transfer DJ Jordan.
Transfers made plays as well. West Virginia newcomer Rodney Gallagher scored on a jet sweep and produced a highlight catch while working out of the slot. The team closed the 18-period session with an overtime-style drill from near the red zone: Spivey went up to high-point a pass with several defenders surrounding him, and redshirt sophomore Nela Taliauli ended the day by intercepting reserve quarterback Sawyer Anderson.
The program also welcomed more than 50 university professors and academic advisors to Saturday’s practice, each linked to players on the roster, underscoring the staff’s emphasis on the academic side of student-athlete life as the spring schedule winds down.
