A suspicious death investigation is underway in Lindsay, Oklahoma, after a man’s body was found inside a vehicle that exploded on Tuesday. The McClain County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a possible vehicle explosion near 194th Street and Wooten Way in Lindsay.
When fire officials arrived on scene, the vehicle was on fire in the road, according to a news release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. The fire was quickly extinguished, and an adult man, who was dead, was found inside the vehicle.
The cause of the vehicle fire and the circumstances surrounding the man’s death are still under investigation by OSBI. The body was transported to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office to be identified, as well as to determine the cause and manner of death.
