Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has long had sporting aspirations that extend far beyond the football field. Being a U.S. Olympic gold medalist is a dream that he’s always had, and he’s never had the chance to accomplish it.
Olympic Outlook
Allen played baseball and basketball — in addition to football — at Firebaugh High School in Firebaugh, California. He has since become an avid golfer. The NFL voted to allow players to participate in the Olympic debut of flag football at the 2028 Los Angeles Games, giving Allen and others the potential to play.
Allen would sign up tomorrow to be on the team, he said. He’s always dreamed of competing for his country and being able to wear his own gold medal, but we’ll see how it works. USA Football, the sport’s national governing body, will determine the Olympic roster.
