Ohio Residents Can Claim Share Of 4 8B

Ohio has launched a campaign to help residents search for and claim a share of $4.8 billion in unclaimed funds. The state’s division of unclaimed funds is launching ads, reminding Ohioans to check if they have any unclaimed funds.

How to Claim

To check, people can go to the state’s website, enter their information and see if there are funds owed to them. Lt. Governor Jim Tressel said, “It only takes a few minutes to check if there is money that belongs to you or your family.” Division Superintendent Akil Hardy added, “Reuniting Ohioans with their hard-earned money is at the heart of our mission.” The campaign aims to reach and return unclaimed funds to more Ohioans than ever before.
