Heavy rain is hitting parts of southern New England, with a Flood Watch posted for southeastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
Periods of heavy rain are possible through the early morning commute, especially over the South Shore and the Cape.
A few communities could see between one and three inches of rain, with some locally higher amounts of four to six inches possible underneath narrow bands of heavy rain.
Remember to turn around, don’t drown, and find another route if a road is flooded.
The heavy rain will taper off this afternoon, but scattered showers will likely remain.
Gradual clearing is expected for Wednesday’s forecast, with highs in the upper 70s.
High temperatures will climb toward the low 90s by Thursday and Friday.
