A months-long narcotics investigation in Jonesboro, Arkansas, led to the arrest of five individuals, including Brandon L. Williams, who was previously convicted of manslaughter in 2016. Williams was identified as the main suspect in the investigation, which involved the sale of multiple types of narcotics from a residence at 1823 Cedar Heights Drive.
Investigation Details
According to probable cause affidavits, agents with the 2nd Drug Task Force alleged that Williams was acting in concert with at least five others to sell narcotics from the residence. A controlled buy was conducted in May, and a confidential informant allegedly bought marijuana from Williams after meeting him behind the Cedar Heights Drive residence.
On July 1, agents executed a search warrant at the residence and found six small children asleep inside. A search of the downstairs area yielded a loaded semi-automatic rifle reported stolen, marijuana packaged for sale, boxes of plastic bags, and a large bag with marijuana residue. Upstairs, agents found a loaded semi-automatic rifle, Oxycodone pills packaged for sale, additional marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Arrests and Charges
Williams was arrested for simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, a Class Y felony; continuing criminal enterprise, a Class Y felony; offenses relating to records and maintaining premises, a Class B felony; possession of a firearm by certain persons, a Class B felony; possession of Schedule II with purpose to deliver, a Class C felony; first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, a Class D felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D felony; theft by receiving a firearm valued at less than $2,500, a Class D felony; and misdemeanor possession of Schedule VI with purpose to deliver.
Four other individuals, Dadarius Daquin Anderson, Derrick Brown, Dequantel Evans, and Willie Lee Evans, were also arrested in connection with the investigation. Each was charged with various felonies, including continuing criminal enterprise and possession of drug paraphernalia.
