Natrona County’s average gas price fell 18 cents over the last week, with a Wyoming state average of $3.84, down 13 cents from a week ago. The national average dropped 6.8 cents to $3.79 per gallon.
Local Gas Prices
Drivers in Casper can find the lowest price of $3.49 per gallon at Sam’s Club, 4600 E. 2nd St., followed by $3.54 at several Casper gas stations, according to GasBuddy reports.
Laramie County now offers Wyoming’s cheapest fuel with an average price of $3.34 per gallon, down 23 cents from last week. Johnson County offers the second cheapest average at $3.45, down 12 cents from last week.
National Trends
National diesel prices also dropped, falling 11.8 cents in the last week to an average of $4.876 per gallon. GasBuddy reports that 37 states are now seeing average diesel prices below $5 per gallon.
According to Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, average gasoline prices fell in nearly every state over the last week, with diesel declining in all 50, pushing the national average to approximately $3.74 per gallon this July 4.
