Appleton rang in America’s 250th birthday in a big way this Fourth of July weekend, with the city’s annual fireworks show expected to draw a crowd of 10,000 people to celebrate the historic milestone.
According to WBAY, organizers anticipated the large turnout as residents and visitors gathered to mark the semiquincentennial of the United States. WLUK reported that the Appleton fireworks returned on Friday, with a full schedule of festivities accompanying the pyrotechnic display.
It’s a proud moment for the Fox Valley community, coming together under the summer sky to honor 250 years of American history — and to enjoy one of the area’s most beloved annual traditions.
