The American Rose Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, hosted the Red, White & Blooms event, celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary while highlighting the rose as America’s national floral emblem.

The event began at 4 p.m. and featured live music, local vendors, food, a car show, and a fireworks display to cap off the evening. Executive Director Beth Smiley said the event gave families an opportunity to enjoy the gardens while celebrating the holiday weekend.
Organizers said the Red, White & Blooms event combined history, education, and family-friendly activities as the community extended its Independence Day celebrations through the weekend.
