Australian Pm Apologizes For Crude Remark

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese apologized on Monday for making a crude remark about singer Kylie Minogue in a comedy podcast interview. Albanese was asked by host Nikki Osborne which of three Australian female celebrities he would marry, date, or have a physical relationship with. After initially declining to respond, Albanese replied, “Kylie, clearly,” when pressed further.

Albanese was criticized by several opposition lawmakers, with senator Sarah Henderson saying the comments were “disrespectful to women, embarrassing to Australians, and demean the office of Prime Minister.” Albanese apologized unequivocally for the comments in a statement on Monday.
