A 68-year-old man from New York, Dave Alan Hughes, was arrested in Polk County, Florida, on a felony child sexual abuse warrant. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that Hughes was in the Davenport area and found him at a residence in the Sunlake Terrace Estates neighborhood.
Hughes surrendered to deputies and was taken into custody without incident. He is being held in a local jail pending extradition to New York to face the charges.
