On July 4, 2026, approximately 175 people of all ages participated in the annual Naperville Responds for Veterans Freedom Ruck in downtown Naperville. The event started at the Highland School parking lot and concluded at the Judd Kendall VFW on W. Jackson Avenue.
At the conclusion of the RUCK walk, the Declaration of Independence was read by Brian Dilger from the balcony of the VFW. Many participants took photos for social media, and several photographers were present to capture the moment.
The annual NRFV Freedom Ruck aims to support the unmet needs of local individuals who have served by strengthening their well-being. For more information about Naperville Responds for Veterans and its programs, visit www.napervilleresponds.org.
