A fire broke out Sunday morning in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood, displacing 11 people, including eight children, and sending one child to the hospital. The Boston fire department responded to the scene on Maple Street, where they found fire showing upon arrival.
A search for residents was completed as a 2nd alarm was struck. The roof of the home collapsed, and a collapse zone was set up around the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Boston fire department’s fire investigation unit.
The Red Cross is providing emergency assistance to those displaced by the fire. The condition of the child taken to the hospital was not immediately available.
