The Texarkana Museums System partnered with the Texarkana Repertory Co. to present ‘Living Histories: Moments That Made US’ at the Ace of Clubs House in Texarkana, Texas.
Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary
The exhibit celebrates the moments that made the United States and also moments that made Texarkana and put Texarkana on the national stage. The presentation included parts played by Olivia Smith Moore, the final resident of the Ace of Clubs home; Bessie Coleman, the first African American to hold a pilot’s license; and businessman and politician Ross Perot.
Humanities Texas produced and funded the exhibit. A second ‘Moments That Made US’ presentation is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m.
