The Fort Worth City Plan Commission has approved plat revisions in south Fort Worth’s Orchard Village, a move that will reduce the neighborhood’s density. Senior city planner Alexander Parks presented the case, explaining that the city no longer envisions multifamily structures in the area.
Instead, the new plans call for single-family homes, which will make the neighborhood less dense. The commission unanimously approved the vacation of the right-of-way stubouts, which are dead ends designed to accommodate future development.
Parks noted that the new plans will not need to be submitted to the city, as it is withdrawing a current plat revision and returning to a version already approved by the City Plan Commission.
